Art as a representation or Mimesis.

Plato  was first who developed the idea of art as "Mimesis", which in Greek means copying or imitation, therefore, over the centuries, the main meaning of art has been defined as the representation or representation of something beautiful or significant.

The definition of “good art” had a profound effect on contemporary artists, as Gordon Graham writes: “It makes people attach great importance to very realistic portraits, such as: Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo Rubens, Velazquez, etc. And raise questions about the meaning of contemporary art "Picasso's distortions in the style of cubism, surreal figures of Juan Miro, Kandinsky's annotations or paintings, action" by Jackson Pollock. Although visual art still exists today, it is no longer the only measure of significance.

Art as an expression of emotional content.

The expression became important during the romantic movement with works of art that express a clear feeling, such as their sublime drama. The reaction of the public was important because the work was designed to provoke an emotional response.

  Art as a form.

Immanuel Kant (1724-1804) was one of the most influential early theorists of the late 18th century. He believed that art should not have a concept, but should be evaluated only by its formal qualities, since the content of the work is not of aesthetic interest. Formality became especially important when art became more abstract in the 20th century, and the principles of art and design (balance, rhythm, harmony, unity) were used to define and evaluate art.

The question is, what is art? You mean here a photograph, a movie, today the Internet, all forms of multimedia communication, and then these images, which I also compose, somehow come down to a sign, a letter and an essence, in the end, when you perceive a work of art, it based on the perception of the sign, on the perception of the empty / full or on the perception of form / formlessness, on the perception of color or its absence ...

The gap between the two words has a certain meaning, it is not just silence ...
By the way, I almost forgot: “Bon appetit!”
